Dodo’s ecosystem

The Mare aux Songes is a so called integrated fossil sites. This signifies that it contains both micro, meso and macro fossils. Micro are smaller than 2 mm, meso smaller than a few cm and macro larger than a few cm. To name a few groups:
micro: pollen, spores, diatoms, foraminifers, phytolyths.
meso: snails, invertebrates (including insects)
macro: plant and vertebrates

Here results are presented on micropalaeontology, palynology, woodanatomy, invertebrate and vertebrate paleontology that shed light into the composition and functioning of the dodo ecosystem.
